I couldn't stand it anymore, though.
I had to burst. I pulled my mouth off of his cock and cried out.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I have to. Sly. Holy shit. I love you. I love you. I love—oh, fuck!”
He growled he pushed his cock back in my mouth. “I’m coming. I love you, Tara. Holy shit, you’re my angel.”
As my back arched and my pussy throbbed, my throat opened up. I gripped the bed sheets as my legs trembled, and my toes curled so deeply that my calves started to cramp. And as Sly collapsed on top of me, his cock shooting threads of ecstasy for me to devour, the same hand that spanked me now massaged my burning thigh.
Before he lazily moved his mouth to kiss it.
“You okay?” he murmured.
I took my last swallow before nodding my head. “Uh huh.”
He chuckled. “Here, let me fix that.”
He lifted his cock from my weakened mouth before he rolled off my body.
“Good morning, Angel,” he said.
I smiled up at the ceiling. “I love that nickname.”
He scooted next to me. “I’m glad. Because that’s what you are to me.”
I nestled against him as he wrapped his arm around me. “What time do we have to leave?”
“Leave? For what?”
My half-hooded gaze found his. “Aren’t you going with Link and Bowser to Skeleton’s opening day of trial?”
He shook his head. “Nah. I was going to, but then I realized I’ve got other plans.”
“Oh? What’s going on today instead, then?”
He grinned. “You want me to tell you know, or do you want to wait to find out?”
I giggled. “I take it this morning was only a preview?”
“I mean, we could go out on a bike ride and have a picnic and finish what we never got to start all those months ago.”
I rolled on top of him. “Or, we could just pretend that’s what we’re going and do it in the comfort of our own bed.”
He kissed my lips longingly. “I like the sound of that.”
I settled my face into the crook of his neck as I straddled his pelvis. I felt my juices sliding all around his still-hardened cock as his arms cloaked my back. I drew in his scent, breathing in the wooded and minty notes mixed with the smallest scent of morning musk. It was a scent I committed to memory every morning.
Especially since I had moved in with Sly four months ago.
After Skeleton and his crew were arrested and charged, things quickly settled back to what was viewed as ‘normal’ around here. Sly had regular church meetings and responsibilities at the bar, my brother went back to his office work to process the case they had against the Golden Jags, and I went back to wondering what the hell I was going to do with my life.
Until Joanna hopped into the mix.
“How are things at the firm? Do you need to work today?” Sly asked.
I giggled. “It’s Sunday, crazy. The firm’s closed.”
He paused. “I thought Joanna was opening it every day in some form or fashion until the trial’s over?”
“Holy shit, that’s right!”
I leapt out of bed in all of my nakedness as Sly chuckled after me. I darted into the bathroom and quickly turned on the shower before I threw myself into the hot water stream. I did have to work today, and I had to report by ten.
It would only be for a couple of hours, but I couldn't let Joanna down.
Not when this big of a case had gotten handed to us.
After things settled down and got back to normal, Joanna was quick to offer me a job. And after my first day, I figured out why. She needed a great deal of help, and not just from a paralegal. She needed secretarial work and someone to help her with her schedule. All jobs that I was more than willing to take on so she could focus on what was important to her.
So, my full-time job was born.
“Angel?” Sly asked.
I washed the conditioner out of my hair. “I’m almost done. You hopping in after me?”
“Angel. Have you checked your phone?”
I paused. “What?”
He chuckled. “Your phone. Did you pick it up after you got out of bed?”
I blinked. “No. Why?”
“You have a message from Joanna.”
“Shit. Can you open it for me, please, and read it?”
He clicked his tongue. “I may have already done that, but only because I knew what it would say.”
I stuck my head out of the shower. “What does it say?”
And when he turned my phone around to show me the message, I sighed with relief.
Joanna: Heading to the first day of trial instead of working today. It’s almost unheard of for private Sunday trials to happen, so I want to be there. Your work day is optional, but if you do work today, clock it as overtime since I won’t be there.
“Oh, thank fuck,” I said breathlessly.
Sly placed my phone on the bathroom counter. “Mind if I join you?”
I grinned. “That depends. Am I taking the overtime work or—”
He growled lowly. “You won’t be doing shit without me today; I can tell you that.”
I shrugged. “I’ve always wondered what office sex might be like.”
“Let me in there, you kinky little shit.”
I barked with laughter as he stripped his clothes off, then he hopped into the shower behind me. He washed my back and massaged my shoulders before I turned around and washed his body down as well. And I couldn't help but stare. His long, lean muscles dripped with water running down the crevices of his chiseled peaks. His cock swung heavily between his legs, as if ready for the second when he knew he could pounce. I licked my lips before I slipped to my knees. I wrapped my arms around his thighs and pulled him close to me as his hand fell into the wet tendrils of my hair.
“Guess my sweet girl is eager this morning,” he grunted.
I kissed his shaft. “Maybe just a tad.”
But before I could get his luscious cock between my lips, a knock came at the door. Followed by a familiar voice.
“Anybody awake!?”
I paused. “Is that—”
Sly sighed. “Your brother really needs to learn some boundaries.”
A knock sounded heavily at the door. “Hey! Sly! I see your bike out here!”
I fluttered my eyes up to him. “What are the chances we could ignore him?”
Sly smiled down at me. “You know that won’t work. It never does with him.”
A loud bang rattled the front door. “I’ll pick this fucking lock!”
I stuck my head out of the shower. “Calm your fucking tits we’re in the shower, you moron!”
Sly barked with laughter. “God, I love this so much.”
I held up my hand. “Help me up. Haven’t had coffee.”
Sly got me to my feet before we turned off the water. We got out of the shower and dried off as my brother waited patiently on the porch. No matter how much I wished him away, though, I threw on clothes and walked over to the front door.
Before throwing it open and seeing my brother standing there with reddened cheeks.
“What do you want at eight in the morning?” I asked breathlessly.
Sly sounded behind me. “Hey, Chains! Come on in. I’m about to make coffee.”
Ben snickered. “I’m never getting rid of that nickname, am I?”
Sly padded into the kitchen. “Nope. Come in and shut the door. You’re letting all of the air out.”
I ushered my brother into the studio apartment and he gave me a kiss on the cheek. I shot him a feral look before a smile crept across my cheeks, then I threw my arms around his neck. The door eased closed as Ben picked me up and swung me around as if there were something to rejoice.
And after we all fixed our coffee, we sat down at the small kitchen table over by a window on the far side of the apartment.
Next to my favorite dungeon in the place.
“Don’t tell me there’s an
emergency or some shit. I’ve been enjoying the quiet months,” Sly said.
My brother chuckled. “No, no, nothing like that. I wanted to come by and tell you that there’s been a last-minute amendment to Skeleton’s charges. That’s what they’re currently talking about in the judge’s chambers this morning.”
I quirked an eyebrow. “Oh? What’s going on?”
My brother grinned. “Along with however many counts of trafficking, sexual assault, illegal gambling, and a host of other minor offenses, Joanna saw fit to also add five counts of kidnapping.”
My jaw hit the floor. “You’re kidding.”
Ben shook his head. “Nope. When she went back through all of the girl’s testimonies, she realized that some of these girls hadn’t come willingly with Skeleton and his guys. Some of them were snatched right off the street and thrown into a van.”
Sly nodded slowly. “Like we witnessed.”
My head snapped over to him. “What?”
Ben held up his hand. “I don’t want to hear anymore. Gotta draw that line.”
Sly smirked. “Well, I’m glad Joanna caught it. That bastard deserves as many life sentences as we can give him.”
I sipped my coffee. “Those poor girls. I can’t even think about it without feeling sick to my stomach.”
Sly leaned forward. “Any luck tracking down some of those other girls he sold off?”
Ben leaned back, crossing his arms over his chest. “Shit you not, the one thing Skeleton was good at was keeping records. We found a treasure trove of shit some of his guys were trying to burn and when we finally got the replicated pieces back, we found not only names and addresses of the purchasers, but the legal names as well as ‘stage names’ of other girls.”
My eyes bulged. “You’re kidding.”
Ben shook his head. “Nope.”
Sly sighed. “I’m going to regret this, but how many girls?”
Ben’s face went dark. “We recovered over one hundred singular pieces of documentation. And that’s just what we could recover. Some of the documentation was burnt beyond repair.”
My eyes watered. “My God.”
Sly took my hand before Ben took my other one. And as both of the men in my life comforted me over our morning coffee, a surge of gratefulness rushed through my veins.
With these two at my side, I was the luckiest woman on the planet.
“He’s going away for a long time, Tara. You don’t need to worry,” Ben said.
Sly squeezed my hand. “And he can’t hurt you anymore. Even if there was a risk for that—which there isn’t because you’re with me—it doesn’t exist anymore.”
I shook my head. “It’s not that. It’s just—all of those girls we’ll never find. It breaks my heart.”
Ben chuckled. “I wouldn’t be too sure about that.”
I panned my gaze over to his. “What do you mean?”
He squeezed my hand. “Let’s just say that when the alphabet agencies want to join forces, they will.”
I blinked. “You mean…?”
Ben smiled brightly. “Yep. The other piece of good news is that this Skeleton trafficking bullshit has now become an agency-wide thing. DEA is helping. CIA is helping. Interpol is on the lookout. Everyone’s working on this in some way, shape, or form. And before it’s all said and done, we will find them. You have my word.”
Sly stood. “Well, that shit calls for a celebration. Who wants to head to the bar!?”
I snickered. “At eight thirty in the morning?”
He dropped my hand. “Why not? I’ll call the guys, we’ll bust out the whiskey for our coffee, and we can use the kitchen to cook up a big ass breakfast for all of us. I’ll go call the guys.”
Ben stood as he let go of my other hand. “I’ll go pick up some provisions. I’m sure you guys don’t keep eggs and shit like that at the bar.”
Sly snapped his fingers. “Perfect. Meet there in an hour?”
Ben trotted for the door. “An hour, it is!”
And as I continued to sit at the kitchen table, listening to my brother and the love of my life make last-minute celebratory plans, only one thought crossed my mind.
I like the way the rest of my life looks.
