Thor (The Black Hornets MC Book 5) Page 4

“Since when has that ever stopped you?” I asked.

“You know I can hear you, right?” Thor asked.

I glared at him before I pulled Olivia into her bedroom. I watched Thor stride for us, but I closed and locked the door before I moved a chair and propped it underneath the doorknob. I heard him jiggle the knob. Bang his fist down onto the door. Liv sighed as I dragged her over into a corner by the window, listening as Thor began to pick the damn lock.

  The man was good.

“It’s just a drink, Liv. One drink to wind down and have some girl talk without our shadow following us around. You have to admit, he’s fucking annoying,” I murmured.

“I think he’s kind of charming. Unintrusive. I don’t know he’s there half the time,” Liv said.

“Well, you aren’t with him all day.”

  “This is also very true.”

“I’m coming in for you girls,” Thor said.

I felt him press against the door, the chair stopping it from flying open.

  “Fucking hell,” he murmured.

  I grinned at his frustration.

“One drink with my best friend. That’s all I’m asking. You know as well as I do that we could sit in front of a damn grocery store and share a beer like we always used to do,” I said.

“I can’t stand beer now,” Liv said.

“Then we’ll get a damn bottle of wine. Come on. I want time with my best friend without The Hulk watching us,” I said.

“Open this damn door!” Thor exclaimed.

“A chair really gonna stand in your way, big guy!?” I yelled.

Liv giggled. “You like taunting him, don’t you?”

I grinned. “It’s a lot of fun to piss men off.”

Liv narrowed her eyes playfully at me before she relented. She nodded her head as a smile crossed her face and I clapped my hands. The only issue was how we were going to dodge Thor when we were on the sixth floor of a hotel. It wasn’t as if we could sneak out a window and shimmy down a drain pipe.

Not that I’d done that as a child or anything.

“He’s going to splinter that chair if we don’t move it,” Liv said.

“You got a plan to get us out of here?” I asked.

“Willow, when have I ever not had a plan?”

“I’m pretty sure you didn’t have one, and it got you into this mess.”

“I had a plan. It simply backfired.”

“Well, make sure getting us out of this place doesn’t backfire, too,” I said.

“Trust me. It won’t,” she said, grinning.

I walked over to the chair and ripped it from underneath the doorknob. And then, the door crashed open. I tossed the chair beside me and watched as the angry man with flaring nostrils and red cheeks glared at me from his six-foot-eight stoop. Then, something moved quickly in the corner of my eye. Before I knew it, Liv had vaulted off the chair and sprayed Thor’s eyes with mase.

Fucking pepper spray she had on her hip still.

  “Holy fuck!” Thor exclaimed.

He slammed into the wall, wiping at his eyes as snot dripped from his face.

“Are you two insane!?” he exclaimed.

“Come on. Follow me,” Liv said.

My jaw gaped in surprise and awe at my best friend. I hadn’t seen her attempt to mase someone in years. I laughed as we ran through the hotel room, listening as the giant struggled to get to his feet. That amount of pepper spray would keep him occupied for a while. He wouldn’t be able to see, which meant he couldn’t get on his damn bike and follow us.

Liv threw open the hotel room door and we raced for the elevator, laughing and giggling like we used to.

Before both of our lives had been turned upside down.

  Chapter 6

  Thor

I heard the girls running out of the hotel room door and I growled. Holy shit, my eyes burned. I wanted to claw them out with my chewed off fingernails. Snot dripped from my nose. It was hard to breathe. I was in agony, and I heard their fucking giggles as they ran down the hallway. Holy hell, I’d never live this down with the guys. Those two were fucking dynamite together, and I was trying to get them not to explode. I picked myself up off the ground and stumbled into furniture. Trying to find my way to the kitchen sink. I turned on the hot water and fumbled around for some dish soap, them lathered my hands up with it. I jammed my face underneath the faucet. The burn made my eyes water. Made my throat ache. Made my nose drip more.

But, as I scrubbed my face with an endless amount of soap, I felt the pain subsiding.

It took me fifteen minutes before I could see. Before the swelling went down and I could breathe again. I wiped myself off with a towel Willow had left on the floor from her bathroom session and I flushed again. Holy hell, those sounds. Her moans. Her groans. She knew what she was doing. She knew the game she was playing. Trying to scare me off with personal tactics. I wasn’t scared off that easily. A private masturbation session with a woman was a far cry from my sexual proclivities. That was foreplay to me. But her moans.

They echoed off the corners of my mind all fucking day.

I turned the water off and stormed out of the room. I slammed the door behind me, then made my way for the stairs. I might have been big, but I could outrun any elevator. I leapt down the flights of stairs, crashing down to each level and bowing against my knees. They didn’t have a car. I took Olivia’s keys from her every evening, before we walked back up to the hotel so we didn’t have to deal with situations like this. I slammed through the lobby and made my way to the parking lot. I strode for my bike, hopping on it and striking it up. They couldn’t have gotten far. They had an eighteen-minute start on foot.

I did the calculations in my head.

Eighteen minutes on foot at 2.5 miles an hour with the type of foot traffic Redding had on a Friday night translated to a mile radius, at best. And since Willow had mentioned getting a drink, that meant they were walking to a nearby bar. Even if I took into account the clubs in the area, that only left seven or eight different places they could be. One of the perks on being on the outskirts of Redding was the fact that there weren’t many places for them to go party it up.

And I was familiar with all of them.

I rode around town, sticking to back roads and keeping my eyes peeled for them. I should have known, however, that the first bar they happened upon was the one they’d duck into. Olivia and Willow both would know they didn’t have much time to spare before I came looking for them. They’d want to maximize their time. I pulled up to the side of the bar, sticking myself in the alleyway and peering through the windows.

Sure enough, there they both sat. Laughing and giggling over brightly-colored cocktails with fruit shoved onto skewers.

Well, Olivia was drinking that. Willow had a beer.

  Huh.

I’d never known a woman who drank beer before.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket, keeping my eye on them. I turned my bike off and sat there, glaring at them through the window. They were both sitting at the bar, laughing it up and having the time of their life. Completely unaware of their surroundings. I pulled up Colt’s number and called him, hearing it ring in my ear.

  “What’s up?” he asked.

“Apparently, your girl is fond of pepper spray,” I said.

  “Oh, shit.”

“Yep. Fucking vaulted a chair and got me good with it.”

“I mean, I can’t say I’m not proud. The fuck were they thinking, though? Where are you?”

“They wanted to go get a drink and I wouldn’t let them. Can’t lock down places like that,” I said.

  “What bar?” he asked.

“The Stafford. Right up the street from the new hotel,” I said.

“I’m on my way. If they move, follow them and let me know. I’ll talk to Liv.”

“You expect me to talk to Willow?”

And all Colt did was chuckle.

I hung up the phone on him and shoved it back into my
pocket. I was pissed off. I wanted to march straight into that bar, grab them both by the arms, toss them over my fucking shoulders, and walk their sorry asses back to the hotel room. But I knew Colt wanted me to wait for him. I slipped off my bike and clocked the time. Three minutes. Five minutes. Fifteen fucking minutes. And almost twenty minutes later, I heard a bike pull up.

I flagged Colt down and he pulled into the alleyway, and all I did was point.

  “Go in together?” he asked.

“You take Olivia, and I’ll do something with Willow,” I said.

“Go easy on her now,” he said, chuckling.

“Not a fucking chance,” I growled.

We marched into the bar and the entire place fell silent. Olivia and Willow turned around, and I watched Olivia’s face fall. I watched her eyes lock with Colt as we parted ways, and I made my way for Willow. Her eyes danced between mine. Anger flashed in them before a streak of curiosity crossed her face. I reached out for her arm and grabbed it, then hauled her off the stool.

  “What the—”

“You’re coming with me,” I murmured.

“Where the hell are you— Let go of me you—”

Her hand moved in the air, but this time I was ready. I caught her moving fist in the air with my hand, then twisted her around. I trapped both of her arms criss-cross around her body, then picked her straight off her feet. She threw her head back into my face, but I moved too quickly. I trapped her head against my shoulder with my cheek and used her flailing legs to push the back door of the bar open.

It poured us into a back room and I made my way through another door. A door I locked. A door that led to a small room that housed only empty kegs in them.

“What the fuck is wrong with you!?” Willow exclaimed.

I set her down onto her feet and she tried to fight me. Punches were thrown. Knees were tossed around. And every move she had for me, I blocked. She was a spitfire. And in any other world, I would have enjoyed that.

But right now, she was risking my job and her safety as well as Olivia’s. And I wasn’t tolerating that.

She tried to kick me, and I grabbed her leg. I twisted her around and watched her careen to the ground. She caught herself with her hands and pushed back, sliding through my legs. I turned around I reached down for her hair, fisting it and dragging her up. I slammed her into the wall. I put my forearm against her throat. I jammed my leg between hers and pinned her up against the locked door, gazing into her eyes.

But I didn’t see anger in her eyes.

  I saw fear.

  Willow was afraid of me.

“I’m not going to hurt you,” I said.

“And yet, here we are,” she choked out.

“You’re being reckless. You’re putting yourself and Olivia in danger.”

“I’d never do that to my best friend.”

“And yet, here we are,” I said.

She stopped struggling against me. Her legs stopped flailing and her nostrils stopped flaring. I watched her eyes that had been on lockdown for days emote for the first time. And what I saw was a mixture of confusion and guilt.

“Olivia is in a lot of danger. And now that you’ve dropped into town, so are you. I’m doing nothing but protecting your asses. Not because you need it, but because the army hunting us down is four times us. You can take a lot, but you can’t take that.”

Willow snickered. “That’s the most I’ve heard you say in five days.”

My forearm relaxed against her throat.

“Why are you such a pain in my ass?” I asked.

“Could ask you the same thing,” Willow said.

And in a flash, she had me whipped around and pressed into the door. Just that small loosening on her neck gave her enough room to fist my shirt, knee me in my stomach, and spin me around. I groaned as her hands released my shirt. One hand came down onto a pulse point in my arm, and the other hand wrapped around the back of my neck. Those pulse points were no fucking joke, and it was all I could do to keep my fucking legs right.

“Why does Colt want you protecting us when I can do what you do, but better?” Willow asked.

I found the strength to reach out for her, ripping myself out of her grasp. I fisted her hips and picked her up like she weighed nothing, then walked across the small room. Her eyes widened as her arm wrapped around my neck. She tried to reach around. Search for anything she could use against me. She tugged at my hair. She tried finding the pulse point on the back of my neck again. I walked her into the wall and pinned her back to it, lifting her multiple feet up off the ground and suspending her in the middle of the air. I pressed the whole of me into her. Our faces were inches apart. Her arm fell down around my neck as her legs wrapped around me, clinging to me instead of fighting against me.

“Do you know how to get out of this?” I asked.

Then, I watched her eyes fall to my lips.

  Chapter 7

  Willow

I was impressed with his skills. The way he could fight. Maneuver that hulking body of his. And I had to admit, he was wearing me out. Wearing me down. The thing was, I didn’t hate it. I didn’t hate his hands on my body, and I didn’t hate the way he bucked against me. I kind of wondered what another sort of bucking felt like. His lips were pursed into a thin line, but his eyes held the slightest glint of a grin. And what was even worse was the fact that I didn’t want to get out of his grasp. I didn’t want to continue fighting to get away from him.

I wanted to stay pinned against him.

I knew how to get out of his grasp. Multiple scenarios ran through my head. A gut punch with my knee. Wrapping my legs behind his thighs and digging my heels into their pulse point. Pressing my fingers into his eyeballs and getting him to back up. As I hovered there, suspended with his body, I tried to convince myself to keep fighting. To get out of his hold.

But I looked down at his lips instead.

They were enticing. They looked warm. And the more he grinned, the more I wanted to feel them against mine. On my skin. On my neck. On my chest. I shivered. I wasn’t sure where the jolt of electricity came from, but I knew what my body wanted.

It wanted something I hadn’t given it in years.

His lips were a little too enticing. His body, a little too inviting. Before I knew it, I was leaning toward his lips. Falling into his strong body. A body I knew would catch me. And when I pressed my lips against his, I was shocked when he kissed me back.

Even more shocked when he pressed further into me.

His tongue shoved its way through. As brute and as thick as the muscles underneath his taut skin. His hands pressed into the wall as my head fell off to the side. I ran my fingers through his thick black hair. I battled his tongue for dominance as he ground his knee between my legs. Heat rose in my gut. My clit pulsed for more. I sucked on his lower lip and raked my teeth across it, pulling a growl from his throat that sent goosebumps raging along my skin.

Then, my hands fell to his pants.

The two of us made quick work of it. Pulling his cock out. Tossing my pants off to the side. His chest pinned me to the wall as we continued kissing, my body literally hovering off the ground. All of the hatred and the pent-up energy I had stowed away in that hotel room came pouring out into his body. His cock hung thick between his legs. Rock hard. Dripping. And yet, still too heavy to stand upright. Fucking hell, I had no idea if it would fit. It had been years since I’d taken a man like this. Since I’d let a man command my body like this. The idea used to frighten me after my apartment became a crime scene. It used to haunt me in my dreams, a man pinning me to anything like Thor had me pinned.

And yet, my body asked for more.

His hands ran along my curves. He cupped my clothed breasts and slipped his hands underneath my ass cheeks. I clung to him, moaning down his throat as my pussy dripped for him. I felt myself trickling onto his skin. Waiting for the release it had properly begged for. My body came alive. My spirit felt whole again. The carnal way to feel a man fill me
overpowered my rational senses.

  “Get inside me,” I whispered.

Thor chuckled as he reached between us. He slicked his cock with my juices, then set his thick tip against my entrance. I groaned at it, feeling how his girth surpassed my opening. Holy fuck, he felt glorious. And he hadn’t even done anything yet.

  “Hang on,” he grunted.

In one fell swoop, he pressed into me. And the second I went to wail out in pain and pleasure, he clamped his hand down onto my face. My eyes rolled into the back of my head. My legs went weak. Yet still, the strength of his body held me to that wall. My eyes connected with his. I took in his dark brown eyes. The way he glared at me with a passion I’d never seen in any man. His cock slid against my walls, pushing itself in. Intruding upon my form. My walls gave themselves over to him. Molded around his thickness as he pumped in and out of me. He touched every part of me at once. Stroked the back of my clit while his curls ground into the tip of my swollen, pulsating nub.

“Holy shit,” I groaned into his palm.

He kept his eyes on me. Watched me the entire time. He pounded into me, shoving me up the wall before stepping back and bringing me back down. Over and over again, it happened. He fucked me up it, allowed me to slide back down it. Fucked me up it. Allowed me to slide back down it. Over and over again, until my pussy throbbed for release. Juices dripped down his shaft. Coated his balls as he grunted and bit down onto his lower lip. My arms clung to his shirt. I fisted the black t-shirt, hanging onto any part of him I could as my body took his assault.

  His glorious, incredible assault.

  “Oh my gosh,” I groaned.

  “You like that?” he asked.

I nodded my head quickly, watching as a salacious grin crossed his face. My legs wrapped tightly around him, pulling him deeper into me. I felt the ridges of his bulging veins rake against my insides. My body shivered. My back arched. He removed his hand from my mouth only to kiss me. He crashed his lips to mine and swallowed every sound I had while his palm dwarfed my tits.

He cupped my clothed breasts. Stroked were my puckered nipples were. Like he already knew my body.
